Emi talaga

I've taken a lot of inspiration from not only designers and brands but also fellow course friends who have helped me with aesthetic and layout. Emi Talaga has a chic and simplistic feel in her work and I personally like how she has used this type of presentation. In my own work I like to keep it focused on a few key images that are effective and feel like because of this I've able to look at her work and use it as inspiration. The type of accessory she have created is also something that appeals to me and I would create something very similar myself, I find it useful to work along side other people who have a similar vision to me and I can take advice and guidance to make my own work better. Review

After this project I've reflexed on all the elements that I've done in order for it to come together. I've enjoyed this project and the themes I've explored throughout it, looking into functionality and how aesthetic can be detrimental to an items use is something I've been interested in and so wanted to apply it to my work. I've looked into new designers (such as acronym ), which has been educational for me to explore and broadened my knowledge of the fashion industry and the variety of brands. Even though there has been plenty of areas that I've enjoyed some parts of this module have been a bit more of a struggle, initially the writing didn't come to me but once I had finalised my bag idea it came to me what I wanted to include. I also had to filter through a lot of designers and content that wasn't relevant in order to include the ones where the idea of function over aesthetic is their aim.  If I was going to do this over again I would look

Some of the other sources I've used to find reference images is pinterest. I mostly looked at clean images that have have harsh shadows that have a very interesting contrast so make it look good to the eye. I also like the positions the models are holding in these images and want to try and create this in my own work.

Mood

Some of the content I've done for my photoshoot to show what I wanted to achieve and what has inspired me. I wanted to keep it very minimal and clean so decided to keep the white background and play around with having shadows or not having them to see which i preferred. I enjoyed doing this shoot as I made other elements so it was nice to see how my work came together as a whole look. I mostly kept the shadows to give it depth rather than just been a flat image.

Editing

Starting the process of narrowing down the photos I want to use and making small changes just to enhance the photo. For these photos I'm using lightroom to edit them, this app will be the best in giving a subtle edit as the photos came out pretty well in terms of lighting and composition. I don't think the photos will be changing much but I will experiment with different adjustments to see the difference in the variety of outcomes I can get.
